BECOMING PREGNANT

While I’ve been married to my dear OH for just over 30 years, we haven’t been blessed with the birth of a child. It was never an issue for either of us. I didn’t get married until I was almost 43, and my better half had just turned 39 three days before. Part of the reason for not having any children had been my age; however, it was more due to my suffering from a genetic condition that we didn’t want to pass on to any children, especially if we had had a daughter.

Having children carries a broad spectrum of emotions, from delight to fear, from apprehension to anticipation, and from concerns to marvel. It is a time when, as a Christian woman, you need to possess a closer relationship with the Lord for the wondrous miracle growing from the seed He has placed in your womb. This is a time of waiting as your child is developing physically inside of you so that you can increase your faith and have it grow spiritually.

As a Christian woman, it is important to remember what you read in PSALM 127:3 [NKJV]:

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

As well as what is written in PSALM 22:9-10 [NLT]:

[9] “Yet you brought me safely from my mother’s womb and led me to trust you at my mother’s breast.”

[10] “I was thrust into your arms at my birth. You have been my God from the moment I was born.”

All of this culminates in what we read in PSALM 139:13-18 [NLT]:

[13] You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.

[14] Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

[15] You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.

[16] You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

[17] How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.

They cannot be numbered!

[18] I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!

And when I wake up, you are still with me!

Have a BLESSED DAY, my dear sisters-in-Christ, with whatever you’re planning on doing, and may each of you be blessed with a child, if you haven’t been blessed already!!! 😊😊😊

WHAT ABOUT THE TOPIC OF ADOPTION ??

While my dear OH and I have been married for 30 years, we have no children. This is fine since I suffer from a genetic condition that we didn’t want to pass on to any child the Lord would have blessed us with. We both had our careers, and since we were nonreligious Christians, adoption never had entered into the picture. However, now that I’ve been on my journey in trying to be a good Christian woman, I’ve realized how much we’ve missed by not adopting a child.

Today, as a Christian woman, I now know that part of the Lord’s reflection of His love comes in the form of the act of adoption. In fact, JAMES 1:27 [NLT] tells us the following:

“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”

The act of adopting a child has an importance that we have in our relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, an importance that is found in reading MATTHEW 25:40 [NLT]:

“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

Another instruction that the Lord gives us for why we should consider adoption gets found in PSALM 82:3 [NKJV]:

“Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.”

THE TOPIC OF HAVING AN ABORTION NEEDS TO GET BASED ON ONE’S CONSCIENCE

While this section of my blog is supposed to be about motherhood, I felt it would also necessitate mentioning the topic of abortion. My dear OH and I have been married for 30 years; the Lord hasn’t blessed us with any children. This hasn’t been an issue for us, as I suffer from a genetic condition that neither one of us wanted to pass on to any child that we might have gotten blessed with, especially if we would have gotten blessed with a daughter. An abortion would have never gotten to be a consideration if we had gotten blessed.

The Lord has blessed any woman who gives birth to a child since He has replaced the seed of that birth in her womb. And it would quickly be considered an abomination to the Lord if that woman should have an abortion. While there are biblical verses against abortions, there are others that seem to support it.

Being a 73-year-old faith-driven Christian woman with an online ministry I started, I found evidence of a ritual abortion in reading NUMBERS 5:19-22 [NKJV]. This deals with what happens when a man assumes that his wife has cheated on him, then he can take her to a priest who will perform a ritual abortion. He mixes some special kind of bitter water mixture to perform this abortion, and the baby will only be successfully aborted if she actually cheated on him.

19] And the priest shall put her under oath, and say to the woman, “If no man has lain with you, and if you have not gone astray to uncleanness while under your husband’s authority, be free from this bitter water that brings a curse.

20] But if you have gone astray while under your husband’s authority, and if you have defiled yourself and some man other than your husband has lain with you”—

21] Then the priest shall put the woman under the oath of the curse, and he shall say to the woman—“the Lord make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the Lord makes your thigh [e]rot and your belly swell;

22] and may this water that causes the curse go into your stomach, and make your belly swell and your thigh rot.”

Given who I am, I believe it is an abomination for any Christian woman who considers having an abortion for anything other than a medical consideration or rape, which is something I believe is supported by scripture.

My Christian sisters. May you never be forced into a situation where an abortion is the only viable solution, and have a BLESSED DAY today and every day with whatever you’re going to be doing in trying to be the best you can be in the eyes of the Lord !!! 😊 😊 😊
